Lady Baroque

I have been always a huge fan of hair bands. When I was a girl, my mother used to buy me some. I could wear them every day. I really enjoyed those accessories. Recently, I fell in love with these hair bands, which remind me of baroque style ones. They are thicker, bigger and more flexible. They do not cause discomfort by intensive pressure on to the head.
I adore medieval and baroque fashion. Women wore long gowns, fantastic hair styles such as braids and all sorts of up dos and their hair were decorated with hair bands. It looked so girly and exquisite.
Times are changed and fashion went in many directions. Trends come back, but usually they touch one century. This time, someone reached baroque. Dresses, hair styles, shoes...come back from centuries. Women love it! They may finally feel like princesses or ladies from the court.

The inspiration may have its origin from the present film productions. Recently, we were absorbed by old time fantasy films such as 'Game of Thrones'. The costumes from the show stole my heart. I wish, I could wear those dresses today! Alongside 'Game of Thrones', there were other shows, which are situated in past. 'Vikings' and 'The Last Kingdom' bring us far back with our history.

We live in relatively peaceful times, but women are keen on working and need practical clothes for work. Therefore, fashion designers have not paid attention to details as such. They design day outfits for going out for various occasions, but it is usually simple, classic and does not impose.
What I like about the new hair band. They are visible to eye and definitely draw attention. They generate sentimental feeling and convey old fashion times.

I would wear them to dresses, skirts and tunics, but they should also look good with trousers, but they will not emphasise the whole look as such. It will bring girly style to it.
